Dr. Richard WertheimerDr. Richard Wertheimer

Dr. Richard L. Wertheimer, a board-certified neurologist practices with Neurological Associates of Hampton Roads, a division of Chesapeake Regional Medical Group. Dr. Wertheimer received his medical degree at Free University of Brussels in Belgium. He completed his internship and residency in neurology at the North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winton-Salem, N.C. Dr. Wertheimer also completed a fellowship in neuromuscular disease at West Virginia University Medical Center in Morgantown, W. Va. Dr. Wertheimer is board-certified in neurology and electromyography.

Dr. Wertheimer has particular interest in neuromuscular diseases, including muscular dystrophy. He has held a faculty position and is a published researcher.

Dr. Snider attended medical school at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he also completed a residency in neurology. He completed an internship at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center in New York City.

 

 Dr. Snider is an experienced lecturer and clinical professor. He has particular interest in Parkinson's disease and multiple sclerosis. He is a member of the American Association of Electromyography and Electrodiagnosis and is board-certified in neurology and electromyography.

 

Dr. Nadar G. Atalla

Dr. Nader G. Atalla
Dr. Atalla received his medical degree from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt, and completed an internship at the University's Hospital, also in Cairo. Dr. Atalla completed residencies in emergency and internal medicine at Coptic Hospital in Cairo and an additional residency in internal medicine at New York Medical College in Valhalla, N.Y. Dr. Atalla completed a neurology residency at Seton Hall University's neurology program at the New Jersey Neuroscience Institute at JFK Medical Center in Edison, N.J., and a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology, with an emphasis on epilepsy, EEG and EMG, at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, N.Y.

Prior to joining Neurological Associates of Hampton Roads, Atalla was an assistant professor of neurology at Memorial University of Newfoundland in Canada.
