Frequently Asked Questions:

Once I apply, how long until I hear if my event is approved?

Once we receive your application, please allow 7 - 10 business days for a written response. We are committed to reviewing your application as quickly as possible.

Can someone from Chesapeake Regional Medical Center or the foundation come to my fundraiser?

We can not guarantee that someone will be in attendance at your fundraiser. If you would like a representative to be present or to speak, please make your request through the foundation office.

Can I use Chesapeake Regional's name and logo when promoting my fundraiser?

Once your fundraiser is approved, the foundation will send you the correct logo and language to use on your marketing materials. Remember, before distributing the materials, they must be approved by the Foundation staff.

Do I need to be a nonprofit organization to hold a fundraiser for CRHF?

The short answer is no, anyone can hold a fundraiser. However, if you plan on hosting one that only a nonprofit can do (such as a bingo night) then you will need nonprofit status and the proper permits.

How will the money I raise be used?

Money donated to the Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation will be used to support programs and services of Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. The foundation staff can provide guidance in designating your donation to a specific area of need at Chesapeake Regional.
