You do not need to be a member of the Lifestyle Center to participate in the speciality classes but members participate free. Non-members please call for current class prices.

T'ai Chi

Take the cue from the ancient Chinese by indulging in this technique for health and relaxation. It improves balance and circulation, and also strengthens the immune system. Classes are for all levels.

Eight sessions, which don't have to be taken consecutively. For more information or to register, call 757-312-6132.

Beginner classes:

  • Mondays from 2:30-3:30 p.m.
  • Thursdays from 11am - noon

Intermediate to Advanced classes:

  • Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:45 - 11:45 a.m.

Yoga

An exceptional class for promoting flexibility made for all levels. A relaxing form of stress management exercise. Yoga enhances your energy level, strengthens your muscles, increases your physical awareness, heightens your powers of concentration, and helps you discover your inner peace.

Yoga-Take a relaxing break at lunchtime

Weekly yoga/deep relaxation class will be offered at the Lifestyle Center during lunchtime. The class will focus on flexibility and stress reduction.

  • Tuesdays, 12:30-1 p.m.

Zumba

This is a high intensity cardio class that features interval training where fast and slow rhythms are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat.  This class is free for members and $10 per class for non-members.  Everyone needs to sign up at the Front Desk to participate.

  • Mondays, 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.
  • Fridays from 5 - 6 p.m.
